Teen-age Talent
High School Art Exhibit
April - May, 2019
This exhibit features fresh, vibrant artwork by young artists from area high schools including Ridgewood, Coshocton and Riverview. Works for Teen-Age Talent were chosen for their outstanding quality by high school art instructors and encompass a variety of media, ranging from watercolor, acrylic and pastels to photography, printmaking and 3-dimensional art. New to the exhibit this year is food art by Coshocton County Career Center students.
Artwork will be judged in three categories: Two-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional, and Graphic Arts. Judges for this year’s show were Shara Prindle (Artist and Owner of The Frame Shop) and Mike Cichon (Culinary Arts Instructor at the Coshocton Career Center). Chef Bob McKenna judged the special food art exhibit.
Dr. Yan Sun of Muskingum University once again sponsored the awards. Dr. Sun also displayed a special exhibit of artwork collected from Chinese high schoolers after his most recent trip to China.
The exhibit is sponsored by MFM Building Products Corp. The Ohio Arts Council also helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
