Summer Children's Program: The Grand TourEmbark on an extraordinary journey this summer with our thrilling children's program, The Grand Tour with the Johnson Brothers! Every Friday beginning June 7 - July 19 (excluding July 5), young adventurers will traverse the globe as the Johnson Brothers, the founders of JHM, once did in the 1800s. The Grand Tour was once an educational rite of passage for young men through the 17th and 19th centuries. Traveling around the world, they would experience and learn from cultures that were different from their own, returning with this knowledge to share with their homes. JHM’s own David and John Johnson were two of the many individuals who participated in The Grand Tour. Because of their experience, JHM can share their adventures and knowledge of cultures worldwide over 150 years later! Through interactive activities, games, and crafts, children will ignite their curiosity and broaden their horizons while learning about science, art, and music across Europe, Africa, and Asia. Join us for a summer of exploration, discovery, and endless fun!
This summer program is geared toward children ages 3 – 5 and 6 – 12. Admission is $1 per child per session. Families will be allowed to explore the Museum after each session. Space is limited and reservations are required. You may register below. The Grand Tour is being presented in conjunction with the Coshocton Public Library, Clary Gardens, Historic Roscoe Village, and the Pomerene Center for the Arts. Cool summer programming will be offered throughout the month of June and July at each location. The Grand Tour is supported by the Charles E. and Dorothy S. Bechtol Fund. Registration is FULL |
