My Spiritual Journey: A Show By Shara Prindle

Picture
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is proud to showcase local artist and business owner Shara Prindle’s creations in a special exhibition, opening January 26th through February 25th.

Shara Dawn (Clark) Prindle's artistic journey is a testament to the transformative power of creativity and faith. Born and raised in Coshocton, she discovered her love for art in the most unexpected place - the quiet moments in church at The Salvation Army, armed with paper and pencil from her grandmother. From early doodles in church to her first Jon Gnagy art kit, Shara taught herself to draw using step-by-step workbooks and Bob Ross’ guidance. Shara's mother instilled in her a spirit of creativity and independence, unknowingly setting the stage for a lifelong artistic exploration. Married since 1985 to a supportive husband, Shara cherishes her family – a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons who are the beating heart of her life.

Owning and operating The Frame Shop since 1994 has been a divine blessing, allowing Shara to immerse herself in the world of art daily and live by the teachings of the Word of God. Her artistic passion finds expression in various mediums – sketching, pen and ink, oils, and acrylics – with a particular affinity for capturing the beauty of landscapes, a genuine reflection of God's creation. Throughout the years, Shara has fearlessly ventured beyond her comfort zone, allowing her art to evolve and surprise. As she embarks on the next leg of her artistic journey, one can't help but anticipate the beauty and inspiration that will unfold, making Shara Prindle's exhibit a celebration of a lifetime dedicated to the canvas and the Creator.

Support for this exhibit has been provided The Ohio Arts Council with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
