51st OVI - Its Men, Movements, and Legacy
May 23rd @ 6:00 PM
Trent Johnson will present "51st OVI - It’s Men, Movements, Battles, and Legacy," a comprehensive journey into the heart of one of the Civil War's most distinguished regiments. Johnson began his love of history and genealogy in 1976 when he was just 11 years old while searching for a Revolutionary War ancestor in Muskingum County with his father and grandmother. This has led to over 30 years of researching the 51st OV, a regiment made up primarily of men from Coshocton and Tuscarawas counties. The presentation promises to provide a comprehensive overview of the regiment's pivotal role in the Civil War, from their humble beginnings to their battlefield triumphs to their legacy after the war. This presentation will be offered free of charge at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum.
