Winter Qigong
Wednesday February 11th - March 9th @ 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Join Holli Rainwater at JH Museum for a four week session of Winter Qigong, Wednesdays at noon February 11-March 9! No need to register and no charge.

This session will feature some special winter movements (inspired by a Mary Oliver poem!) designed to energize, protect, and balance the heart and activate our radiant circuits. The radiant circuits are our "inner mom," helping the body become a well-integrated, harmonious community of organs, glands, vessels, and energies. And when our inner community is harmonious, we can extend this sense of well-being to our outer community as well.

What is qigong? Qigong (pronounced 'chee gong') is an ancient Chinese health care system that combines gentle body movements, breath practice, and deep relaxation. We will use the Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi form as our core practice. This is a very "user friendly" form with many benefits for both the beginner and more seasoned practitioner. Wear comfortable clothing and lightweight shoes. Qigong is very gentle and relaxing and does not require getting down on the floor. Holli Rainwater will lead the class, who has been studying and teaching Qigong since 2004 and is certified as a Tai Chi Easy practice leader. We hope to see you there!
