Artist's Statement
"I take photographs with the same attitude with which I write haiku: attentively and open to the atmosphere of my surroundings. In special moments, photography and haiku merge: a haiga is created. A special light at a lonely train station that awakens a longing for a train to carry you away to another universe. The moon standing above an old library, seeming to look through the window. The view of screws that suddenly appear in a new light, leading to fundamental questions. Hopefully the photograph and the text resonate to each other. The text is inspired by the image and at the same time the text suggests a possible interpretation of the image."
