Current Employment Opportunities 


Collections Assistant (17-21 Hours Weekly)
Assist in collections care and collection record keeping; perform general exhibit maintenance; Plan and perform education programs; and assist with social media and website updates.

Supervisor: Museum Director/Collection Manager

Education and/or Experience:  BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
Reasoning and Language Skills: Requires the ability to communicate well on a one-to-one basis and in groups, to relate to children, and to relate with other staff members.  Job requires a proficient knowledge of spelling and English and creative thinking skills.
Physical Demands: Requires the ability to change exhibits, assist in weekend maintenance, handle artifacts and shelving in storage.  Employee is regularly required to sit, type, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb a ladder.  The employee may have to lift up to fifty pounds.  Employee must be able to see, hear and speak.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Publisher; Adobe Photoshop, Weebly website hosting.

Front Desk Receptionist(4-8 Hours Weekly)
This position is geared toward high schoolers and is a great first-time job opportunity. Hours needed are Saturdays 12-4. Position includes greeting visitors, answering phones, handling admission monies and retail sales from the gift shop. This person will have the opportunity to handle artifacts and learn about collection related work as well.
