A.D. Adams & Valentina Ranaldi-Adams

Biographies
A.D. Adams
A.D. Adams is an author, wood artist, and photographer.  His novels include the highly successful fantasy "The Dragon Healer of Tone", the mystery "Death on Lake Ice", the science fiction novel "Quartermax's Revenge", and the children's Christmas novel "Woody the Reindeer".  A.D. is highly skilled in various woodworking techniques such as intarsia, lathe work, and pyrography. Many of his award-winning wood creations have been donated to the fundraising efforts of groups such as the Akron Children's Hospital Holiday Tree Festival, the Ohio Dragon Dream Team Gala, and the Peninsula Library and Historical Society.  His photographs have often been paired with haiku written by Valentina Ranaldi-Adams to form unique haiga. Valentina Ranaldi-Adams
Valentina Ranaldi-Adams is an internationally known haiku poet and editor.  She has had hundreds of haiku published in journals such as "Frogpond", "Chrysanthemum", "Enchanted Garden", and "The Ohio Haiku Anthology". Valentina has received a 2024 Art of Haiku Gold Prize, a 2019 Art of Haiku
Silver Prize, a 2017 Lit Youngstown "Words Made Visible" Prize, and five Science Fiction Poetry Association Dwarf Stars nominations.  She was the creator and editor of a digital journal entitled "Stardust Haiku". Valentina and A. D. Adams often collaborate on haiga that enhance her haiku with his photographs. Together they created a short video of haiga entitled "Encore 2024" for the Haiku Foundation's 2024 HaikuLife Film Festival.
