Pushing the Surface
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is delighted to present
Pushing the Surface, featuring contemporary quilts from
around the world. Of the 27 artists, five are from Ohio,
fifteen from other US states, and seven from the following
countriesIsrael, Korea, South Africa, Japan, Canada and
Germany.
This
is JHMs fifth Pushing the Surface exhibit, a biannual
event curated by Linda Fowler, Roxana Deadman and Elisa Deadman.
The curators invited certain artists to submit a few slides of
their work from which one piece was selected for display. In
this 2007 show, Linda, Roxana and Elisa have once again shown
their acuity for choosing artwork of exceptional quality and
spirit.
