Museum tours are a great way to engage children in learning!
Tours at JHM are perfect for all kinds and ages of children. From classes, to scout troops, to after school program groups- all children enjoy a field trip.
Guides use artifacts, stories, games and hands-on replicas to inspire student's imagination and understanding. Tours may be adapted to your needs and can be arranged for 60-90 minutes. Call the museum to set up a tour for your group!
An excellent introductory tour to JHM's diverse exhibits. A three-gallery tour introduces students to the Indians of North America, early Ohio living, and Japanese and Chinese culture. A brief time may also be spent in the Golden Gallery where students glimpse life in the Victorian Age and the special exhibit gallery, which may feature art or historical displays.
Students spend time in one of the three major galleries- American Indian, Historic Ohio, or Asian. These tours will be geared to the specified interests of the class/group.
