The class is offered in conjunction with the Teen-Age Talent exhibit currently on display. With the local art are pieces by Chinese high school students from Lanzhou 53 High School in Gansu, China. One of the pieces, “Portrait of My Classmate” is the inspiration for the workshop. It inspired not only the exhibit judges and art teachers but also the young artists who attended the exhibit’s opening reception. Dr. John Sun, Professor of Art at Muskingum University and an amazing portrait painter, will teach the class. The museum is also grateful to Dr. Sun for arranging and transporting the Chinese works to be displayed at the museum.
