Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum

West Lafayette Enamelware

Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum’s final exhibit of 2005 is West Lafayette Enamelware.  The exhibition runs Sept. 24 through Jan. 4 and features enameled kitchenware and hospital ware manufactured by The Lafayette Stamping and Enameling Company, The Jones Metal Company and Moore Enameling & Mfg. Company.  All items are part of the collections of Dan and June Markley and Marty and Tammy Glazier.  Also included in the exhibit will be a display of products that The Jones Metal Products Company and Jones-Zylon Company are currently manufacturing.  Of interest to collectors as well as local history buffs, the exhibit is also remarkable for its emphasis on innovative industrial design.  On display through the holidays, West Lafayette Enameling will provide interesting entertainment for your extended family.  Museum hours are noon to 5 daily through Oct. 31.  Nov. through Jan. hours are 1:00 – 4:30, Tues. through Sunday.  This exhibit is sponsored by The Jones Metal Products Company.
