Volunteer Highlight—Dorothy Ehrenberg

On most any Friday afternoon Dorothy Ehrenberg can be found promoting the Museum and answering visitor questions at JHM’s front desk.  She has been assisting us faithfully for over 6 years.  Always ready to roll up her sleeves and pitch in with children’s activities, you will see her representing us at Roscoe Village festivals and lending an extra set of hands at the many family programs offered regularly at the Museum.  If not directly helping out, Dorothy supports our events with her presence often encouraging her family members to become involved too.  She serves as a board member for the Friends of the Museum and on committees for the Friends’ annual fundraiser, the Autumn Auction and Gala.   Originally from the Boston area (her unmistakable accent gives her away), Dorothy has been a resident of Coshocton for 50+ years.  She is the mother of 6, has 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and is a former business owner.  As a Friend of the Library she volunteers in their bookstore.  An accomplished photographer, she also belongs to the Coshocton Art Guild. JHM staff depends on her zealous support, tireless efforts on our behalf and unfailing enthusiasm. We truly don’t know what we would do without her.

Strategic Planning Discussion
Sat., Feb. 3 9:00—11:00 A.M.

Are you interested in learning about the Museum’s goals, accomplishments, and challenges? Or, interacting with others to analyze current social conditions and formulate new strategies for JHM? For JHM to continue being a living, thriving and relevant entity, we need our community’s input.
Please consider this invitation. JHM exists to serve the public and it can’t do that without being in tune with the community it is trying to serve. We invite you to bring your unique perspective and voice to this discussion.
A continental breakfast will be served so please let us know if you are coming. We will also send you our current Strategic Planning document. Call 622-8710 or e-mail at jhmuseum@sbcglobal.net

Clark Brothers Calendars

Calendars for 2007 are still available at the Museum for the bargain price of $8.    Featuring some of the most memorable art from JHM’s 2006 exhibit, Artwork of Benton and Matt Clark, these calendars are not only cheerful additions to anyone’s kitchen or office, but make great gifts for the local history buff or those with ties to the area.  JHM is grateful to all community members who loaned their prized collectables to create this keepsake.
